Monumental oil on canvas painting, "Root," signed verso Brian Borrello (American, active in Portland, Oregon, 20th c.), titled, dated 2003, and numbered BB32003D verso, light overall warping to canvas, loose on stretcher, canvas: approx 84"h, 42"w, overall: approx 85"h, 43"w, 24lbs
Condition
09/15/2026: In my opinion regarding LOT : 1119- the work is overall intact, as described it hangs a bit loose on the frame, there are a few noted impressions to canvas, stretcher lines along lower edges, rubs, a few very small paint flakes at bottom edge, see images, there are scattered surface accretions with some grime/dirt and light discoloration, imperfections, spotting and general light wear, please refer to online images for views of rear canvas, a UV light examination reveals no inpainting or evidence of restoration to canvas, overall the work is sizeable and would likely benefit from a professional cleaning to resolve light surface grime
