Framed mixed media painting on paper, "The Meeting of the Chiefs," signed lower right Carl Sweezy (Southern Arapaho, Oklahoma, 1881-1953), light spotting to upper region of paper, sight: approx 9.5"h, 16.75"w, overall: approx 22.5"h, 26.5"w, 7.5lbs

07.16.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 2165: Please note the painting has not been observed outside framing, I note that the painting remains securely encased within professional matted framing, the paper free from observed tearing or loss, with some light water spotting at the upper region of composition presumably related to water-based medium of the painting, there is a small smudge of white pigment to the foremost horse hoof on the left-hand side, likely also original to painting process, the lower corners of paper each with a minute nick (see images), the frame glass is free from observed chips or fractures, the gilded frame with some typical minor surface wear such as light scuffs and small nicks commensurate with use/ display
