French Henri II style oak corner cupboard, early 20th c., openwork crest with boar's head and oak leaves, over dual glazed cabinet doors, revealing fixed interior shelving, raised on figural beast supports, lower case with two drawers, and two cabinet doors with carved hunt motifs, revealing additional fixed shelving, on plinth base, approx 107.5"h, 45.5"w, 29.5"d
Condition
10.3.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT: 3070 -- the structure is overall stable and stands sturdy, I am unable to reach the high crest to fully examine though please refer to the zoomed image which shows the carved boar’s head among oak leaves, the case overall appears clean with only small scattered nicks, minor wood wear, and some expected seams and tiny losses to protruding elements including carved griffins and fruit clusters, the work surface shows typical rubbing and surface wear, drawers and doors operate smoothly, interior shelving is intact and sturdy, drawer bottoms and interior shelves display some spotting and light discoloration from use, the bowed glass panes are intact and free of visible chips or cracks, carvings remain crisp and well defined, all observed wear and imperfections are minor and commensurate with the age and use of the cabinet
