- Lot Description
French Louis Philippe period flame mahogany display bookcase, mid 19th c., having stepped cornice, above dual glazed cabinet doors, revealing adjustable-height shelving, rising on bracket feet, approx 83"h, 46.5"w, 15.25"d
Condition
CR 8.29.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT: 2382 – the cabinet is sturdy and stable, the case is largely clean with only typical minor rubs, wood wear, tonal variation, small nicks, and light general wear, scattered traces of old woodworm are present, the glass appears original or at least antique, free of chips or cracks and showing inherent imperfections such as waves and bubbles, the doors open smoothly with an inner catch securing the left door, shelving remains stable with additional slats, the wood supporting the slats appears newer than the case and likely a later addition, overall no significant loss observed, all consistent with origin, age, and use
