French Louis Philippe period figured walnut commode, mid 19th c., rectangular marble top with molded edge, ogee frieze drawer with divided interior, above four additional drawers, lowest drawer concealed in base molding, on bracket feet, separation at side panels, approx 38.5"h, 49.5"w, 21.75"d
Condition
4.27.25-In my opinion regarding LOT: 2285, the structure is overall intact and sturdy, the marble top displays a few typical scattered small chips along the front edge and rear unfinished rough edge, the wood case is intact and exhibits inherent imperfections to the wood such as knots and lines, I observe minor veneer loss, tonal variation, rubs, and light overall wear, the drawers slide well but would likely benefit from waxing to facilitate smoother movement, metal pulls are secure at this time, the upper drawer is sections, with some visible staining/spotting, the remaining drawers (including concealed trim drawer) are largely clean with some light stains, the side panels display typical seams and some separation, due to gallery placement a full inspection of the sides was not possible, please refer to the online images for a comprehensive view, all wear is minor and commensurate with the age and use of the piece, please see attached images for your review
