- Lot Description
French Louis XVI style flame mahogany sideboard, 20th c., having shaped marble top, over conforming case, fitted with five drawers and five cabinets, mounted with gilt-metal trim, doors enclosing adjustable shelving, rising on tapering fluted legs, ending on brass cap feet, blemish/wear to stone rear left, approx 40.25"h, 98.25"w, 22.75"d

03.13.26- In my opinion regarding LOT: 3195- please refer to zoomed online images for best views, the cabinet is highly reflective and any white visible is glare or reflection from lighting, the marble top is overall intact exhibiting typical scattered small chips and nicks along the rear and molded edges with some light abrasions present, there appears to be a possible small repair or imperfection to the sealant at the front right edge, I am unsure, it is minor, please see image, the left side of the marble shows light ring stains, rear corner exhibits finish or sealant loss consistent with a plant or object having been placed there, see images, I do not observe any major restorations to the marble top, the lacquered case presents with typical imperfections including a visible line to the trim of the right front door, scattered nicks, tonal variation, abrasions, and minor general surface wear throughout, the metal trim exhibits spotting with light Verde patination, the doors and drawers operate smoothly, the interiors show light wear and some grime from use and would likely benefit from a cleaning, all mentioned commensurate with age, use, and display
