English oak lawyer's bookcase, Globe Wernicke, early 20th c., having five stacking sections, retractable doors encasing leaded colorless glass, above lower drawer, sides mounted with metal strapping, rising on conforming plinth base, approx 70.75"h, 34"w, 15"d
Condition
03.13.26- In my opinion regarding LOT: 2205, due to gallery location the cabinet is not fully accessible, I have included the original images review, the cabinet presents sturdy and stable, leaded glass panels appear overall intact, I note a few very minor corner or joint areas in the leading that may have been lightly touched up, see image, all doors open and close smoothly, the interior retaining metal support bars, though two have slipped from their small retaining loops and sit slightly loose, this does not affect the function or operation of the doors and appears easily repositioned, the wood surfaces display some scattered rubs, tonal variation, minor nicks and general surface wear, the metal banding exhibits patination, tonal variation and light surface wear, all observed wear consistent with age and use
