- Lot Description
Large Louis XV style bronze dore-mounted clock on stand, having bulbous crown finial, over shaped case centering gilt dial, with white Roman numeral hour markers, time-and-strike movement, above central floral wreath and naturalistic scrolling foliate motifs, rising on cabriole legs, ending on bun feet, lacking pendulum, operational status unknown, approx 70"h, 24"w, 20"d
Condition
02.09.26 - In my opinion regarding LOT: 3271- the structure stands sturdy, ormolu mounts appear present and intact throughout, the case appears with some touchups to painted trim and accents, bronze elements appear with scattered rubs, patination, and surface wear, transfer decorated scenes are defined and retain color, the movement appear to be Asian, the clock is lacking a pendulum, the movement does appear to operate, but needs a correctly sized pendulum to fully evaluate complete status, the striker is not currently operating, it needs adjustment, both time and strike appear to wind, full operational status is unknown
