Architectural Neoclassical style marble pedestal sink, with foliate-cast bronze faucet and knobs, lobed basin raised on the wings of carved eagles, approx 43"h, 31.5"w, 24"d
CR 8.19.25-In my opinion regarding LOT 3231: The sink is comprised of two pieces: the pedestal base and the basin, which likely needs to be secured to a wall for safe display. The sink is not currently assembled in our gallery for safe keeping in order to preserve current condition. We do not know the specific sizes of the plumbing hook-ups, but I have attached images for reference. Upon review with our warehouse manager, all necessary elements for functional appear to be present (aside from the hose and connectors to accommodate to your plumbing configuration). Basin is equipped with a central drain, and the stopper is functional. Bronze elements remain securely mounted with mellowing and some verdigris patina. Upon close visual and UV light examinations of the sink basin, I observe a minute professional restoration near the mount of left faucet handle (see images), which is notably well-blended into surrounding area. Basin is free from notable chipping, loss, or hairlines/ fractures. The pedestal base is intact with a couple areas of professional filled restoration and reinforcement above the fluting (see images under natural and UV light), these restorations appear to be fully stable and structurally secure. Additionally, I observe some typical minor chips to base, all being small and very sparse in occurrence, which are commensurate with age and use. Please refer to numerous attached images
