- Lot Description
Art Nouveau style gilt-metal and art glass two-light table lamp, attributed to Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass & Glass Company, c.1920s, floriform finial, over domed shade with reverse-painted winter landscape scene of a lakeside forest, enclosing two lights, central standard with mask of a female beauty, ending on oval base with floral vinery, obliterated maker's mark GC(?) underside of base, otherwise unmarked, observed operating, approx 21"h, 18"diam, 13lbs
Condition
10/20/2026: In my opinion regarding LOT : 2137- please note I am not an expert on such lamps and do not know if all parts are original, the shade rests on a ring with floriform finial, the final sits a bit high, see image, the shade is overall intact with no noted chips or cracks, only some light roughness along edges, minor surface imperfections to shade and some bubbles, the base is intact with mellowed patina, spotting, rubs and patination, as described the lamp was observed operating, however cord and sockets exhibit age, the lamp would likely benefit from being rewired, overall the lamp presents well with condition consistent with use
