‘Storm in a Teacup' collection hunt jacket.
Faux fur, scarlet wool, velvet, silk, resin. Vivien Westwood Gold Label, UK.
Interior with gold label, Union flag, and woven Westwood portrait labels.UK 12; Shoulder to shoulder 17", bust 42", waist 42", hips 50", arm outseam 24.5", length 26"
Scarlet barathea of pure wool, with black velvet overlay on sleeve, collar, and pockets and faux fur leapord on one side. Featuring mauve silk-statin lining with long ties to manipulate silhouette, and gold tone ‘orb’ button closure.
One of her most iconic collections, exploring extreme asymmetry and inspired by the unpredictable British weather, clashing, and “facing up to the horror of uniformity and minimalism.” - Vivienne Westwood.
Long version modeled by Jerry Hall on the A/W 1996 runway show.
