Set of six dining chairs, from Punjab University, Chandigarh, ca. 1958
Teak, leather, fabric. Produced in France / India for Punjab University, Chandigarh, India.
Each with stencilled marks.Each: 32.5" H x 17.5" W x 20.5" D
Seat height: 19"Condition
Very good condition. As is common with Chandigarh designs, wood surfaces have been cleaned and refinished, preserving older wear, small areas of filler, minor chips and stabilized seam separations in keeping with other examples. Two chairs upholstered in caramel leather, two chairs in gray leather, and two chairs in varied shades of white fabric.
