Carved peach marble sculpture of a seal in raised posture by Ashevak Adla of Kinngait, Nunavut. The stone displays warm peach coloring with natural veining and a smooth surface. The carving features incised facial details, and shaped flippers, with the underside signed “A. Adla.” Sculpture is in good condition with a minor chip near the flippers. | | Please see photos for additional details. | ABOUT THE ARTIST: Ashevak Adla, born in 1977 in Kinngait (Cape Dorset), Nunavut, is an Inuit sculptor known for his dynamic stone carvings. He began carving as a young boy, learning from his grandfather, Audla Pee, and gaining inspiration from local master artists like Nuna Parr. Large, heavy, fragile, or high-value items will receive a UPS shipping quote. Buyers may request a list of recommended third-party shippers if preferred. All shipping costs are non-refundable. Local pickup is available by appointment at our Ferndale, Michigan facility. Pickup or shipping must be scheduled within 15 business days of the invoice date to avoid storage fees.
