Decorative set of ten hardcover volumes from the “Illustrated Sterling Edition” of works by Honore de Balzac, published by Dana Estes & Company, Boston, circa 1901. The books are uniformly bound in burgundy cloth with gilt spine decoration and titles, featuring Art Nouveau-style ornamentation. Titles in the set include “Eugenie Grandet,” “Ursule Mirouet,” “The Lily of the Valley,” “The Country Doctor,” “The Member of Arcis,” “The Seamy Side of History,” “Beatrix,” “Lost Illusions,” “Scene from a Courtesan’s Life,” “Government Clerks,” and related volumes. Local pickup is available by appointment at our Ferndale, Michigan facility. Pickup or shipping must be scheduled within 15 business days of the invoice date to avoid storage fees.
