Large hand-carved green serpentine sculpture of a muskox by Kananginak Pootoogook (1935-2010) of Cape Dorset (Kinngait), Nunavut. The form emphasizes sweeping, incised fur striations and a compact stance on four block feet, with a high polish that brings out the dark green stone. The underside bears an incised signature, and the original Igloo tag. Local pickup is available by appointment at our Ferndale, Michigan facility. Pickup or shipping must be scheduled within 15 business days of the invoice date to avoid storage fees.
