2011 hand-carved serpentine fish sculpture by Inuit artist Toonoo Sharky of Cape Dorset, Nunavut. The carving depicts a streamlined fish form with carved fins, tail, and incised gill detailing. The stone has mottles dark green surface with natural veining throughout. The underside is signed and dated, and the piece retains is Igloo Tag label. The sculpture is in good condition. | Please see photos for additional details. | | ABOUT THE ARTIST: Toonoo Sharky, born in 1970 in Cape Dorset (Kinngait), Nunavut, is a highly regarded Inuit sculptor from a family of well-known artists. Local pickup is available by appointment at our Ferndale, Michigan facility. Pickup or shipping must be scheduled within 15 business days of the invoice date to avoid storage fees.
