- Lot Description
1905 Great Northern Railway Line Envelope addressed to R. R. Murray of Powder Springs, Georgia from his son Augustus. Postmarked Minnesota.
Born December 22, 1836 in Watkinsville Oconee County Georgia the son of William and Louise G. Hunter Murray.
He married in 1861 to Josephine E. Conyers Lindley in Powder Springs. The Father of five sons and one daughter. Mildred Louise born Feb 22, 1863, Robert William born June 18, 1864, Wallace born March 17, 1867, Lindley born February 13, 1869, Augustus born April 28, 1872, and Warren Chandler born July 13, 1877. All were born in Powder Springs except Warren Chandler who was born possibly in Watkinsville. Robert's lost his wife of 20 years on April 11, 1881. He married again his second wife Georgia A. Lindley of Powder Springs in 1886. In 1888 a daughter, Roberta was born. After the war, a doctor of medicine in Powder Springs until his death June 18, 1909.Augustus Murray
