An antique Centennial International Exhibition souvenir scarf from the famed world's fair which coincided with the 100 year anniversary of the Declaration of Independence signed in the city of freedom. The red linen scarf features 4 cartouches depicting the Main Exhibition Building, The Machinery Hall, The Agriculture Hall, and The Horticulture Hall. The main building taking center stage is the Memorial Hall Art Building. A spread winged eagle perched on a stars and stripes shield watches over the buildings. It is difficult to overstate the beauty and symbolism of this scarf. The scarf is mounted on white acid free backing, framed in black.
