An early French language volume from Complete Works of Buffon published in Brussels in 1828. Born Georges-Louis LeClerc (French, 1707 - 1788), Comte de Buffon was an influential naturalist and mathemitician who served as Director of Jardin du Roi (Garden of the King). This posthumous publication of 20 volumes was published in Paris and Brussels of which we offer one volume from the latter.
