A bright and beautiful Chinese plique-a-jour bowl in lotus form decorated with vivid flowers and rich verdant leaves. Ruyi encircles the rim; it stands on round foot. The open work design adds lightness to the bowl of light. This example is above average in size for these bowls and dates to early / mid 20th C.
