Diego Rivera (Mexico, 1886 - 1957) unframed colored pencil on paper drawing depicting Henry Ford and three other gentlemen, measuring 16" in height with 20" in width & signed top right "Diego Rivera". This study would have been done for the "The Detroit Industry" murals, a series of 27 fresco mural panels at the Detroit Institute of Arts in Detroit, MI. commissioned by the president of the Ford Motor Company, Edsel Ford (son of Henry Ford), and the director of the D.I.A., William Valentiner in 1932. Comes complete with a certificate of authenticity, please see photographs. Provenance: comes from the estate of a prominent Texas Collector.
