Handmade, wool Persian Heriz with a stylized border and field having a single medallion; measures approximately 4'11" x 7'11"; in Good overall condition. Heriz rugs are Persian rugs from the area of Heris, East Azerbaijan in northwest Iran, northeast of Tabriz. Heriz carpets are durable and hard-wearing and they can last for generations. Heriz rugs are of coarse construction. The rugs range from 30 knots per square centimeter (kpsq) on the low end to 100ï¾–10 kpsi on the high end. It is rare to see a rug over 100 kpsi that would look like an authentic Heriz unless it is an antique silk Heriz.
