NEW ENGLAND, 18TH CENTURY A New England Chippendale mahogany bible box. The box exhibits a dovetail construction with a hinged top supported by bracket feet. It appears the box was used to house two bibles as it is oversized. 28 1/2" wide by 17 1/2" deep by 10 5/8" tall
Crack to top surface, hinges were broken and repaired.
