CHINA, 19TH CENTURY A fine pair of Chinese pewter glass eye deer. The deer were ebulliently modeled and are whimsical in nature. Notice there daintily kittenish stances with arched backs and tilted heads with a mild smirk. The deer are adorned with vibrant sky blue glass eyes and accented with red painted hooves. The deer sit on carved hardwood hexagonal bases. Notice the opposing deer carved in relief. 8" tall with stand
