The day starts with 180+ lots of Asian arts to include items descended in the family of Anson Burlingame, a 19th century diplomat to China, a lifetime collection of snuff bottles of jade, stone, and porcelain, and carved stone seals, and a family collection of early underglaze blue and Qing porcelains from estate of Wm. Sauer, D.C., sold to benefit the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters, Norfolk, Virginia. The auction ends with 250+ lots of American and British paintings, folk art, and furniture, Southern pottery, sterling silver, and Steiff animals, which includes a 6 ft. camel. probably 20th century, comprising: Billy Ray Hussey (Robbins, North Carolina, born 1955) red Santa jug, inscribed "Merry Christmas 1992" and initialed "BH"; Bethany Lowe Santa Claus doll with patchwork chair, inscription to doll foot; hooked rug with Christmas scene; two Santa Claus dolls on sleighs pulled by reindeer; large paper mache Santa; Santa doll in plaid coat; largest approx. 22 x 15 x 16 in.

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction, or will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
