Provenance: Steinbaum Krauss Gallery, New York, New York, purchased in 1995 (accompanied by a facsimile of the original receipt and the original tag); Estate of Alice Zimmerman, Nashville, Tennessee
Note: Lori Greene is a mosaic and textile artist whose work powerfully interlaces African and Choctaw heritage with community narratives. Working primarily in tile and glass, she creates luminous mosaic "textiles" that carry stories of strength, resilience, and cultural memory. Her practice is both artistic and spiritual, reflecting traditions while giving voice to untold histories of people of color. Greene’s commitment to community is central to her work. Through large-scale public projects and collaborations, she fosters spaces for healing, dialogue, and visibility. She is founder of Mosaic on a Stick, a community art studio in Saint Paul, and recipient of multiple honors, including two Bush Artist Fellowships and grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board.

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction, or will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
