- Lot Description
by William P. C. Barton, M.D., Philadelphia: M. Carey & Son, 1817, later binding of three quarter red cloth over marbled paper covered boards, gilt particulars to spine, bookplate of the Medical Society of the County of Kings to front pastedown, 24 hand colored botanical plates, approx. 10-3/4 x 8-7/8 x 1-1/2 in.
Note: The bookplate notes that the book was donated to the society by Mrs. G. R. Butler. Glenworth R. Butler served as president of the Medical Society of the County of Kings in 1907.
Condition
overall wear to extremities commensurate with age and use, toning and foxing throughout, some corners lightly creased throughout, loss to top edge of half title, library stamp to p. xv not affecting text, loss to table 7 (partial piece retained) extending to plate but not affecting image, correction inked to p. 185 per correction/errata note to back of book, a tight, serviceable copy

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
