- Lot Description
A striking handcrafted silver-plated bowl designed by renowned Mexican artist Emilia Castillo, signed and marked on the underside: "EMILIA CASTILLO MEXICO M.R. PLATEADO TO-85." The piece features a beautifully hammered finish and rests on four rounded feet, giving it stability and elegance. The wide rim is adorned with inlays of fossilized stone in warm, earthy tones—striped with rust, cream, and beige hues—offering a unique organic contrast to the reflective silver surface.
The decorative fossil inlay is highly detailed, showcasing natural variations and patterns. One section displays visible signs of wear or repair, as documented in the photos. A testament to Castillo's masterful metalwork, this bowl embodies the intersection of contemporary design and natural materials, characteristic of her distinctive aesthetic.

Local pickup is welcomed, please call in advance to setup an appointment and ensure the items are paid for before picking up. For out of state buyers we can provide shipping quotes or provide a list of shippers, we do not pack anything ourselves but we can drop off the pieces to a shipping store such as UPS or FedEx and arrange shipping with freight companies such as Plycon, Craters & Freighters, Tramo, Cube, and others.
