Charming and collectible silver-plated butter dish by renowned Mexican designer Emilia Castillo, featuring a hammered surface and a sculptural lizard finial with vibrant malachite inlay. The lid is adorned with a bold repoussé lizard motif, complemented by a three-dimensional figural lizard on top, finished with inlaid green stone detailing that adds a vivid pop of color.
Castillo’s work is celebrated for its playful, nature-inspired forms and expert craftsmanship, combining organic design with the tradition of Taxco silversmithing. The hammered texture enhances the light reflection and gives the piece a tactile, artisanal quality.
Stamped on base: Emilia Castillo / Hecho en México M.R. / Plateado / TO-85.

Local pickup is welcomed, please call in advance to setup an appointment and ensure the items are paid for before picking up. For out of state buyers we can provide shipping quotes or provide a list of shippers, we do not pack anything ourselves but we can drop off the pieces to a shipping store such as UPS or FedEx and arrange shipping with freight companies such as Plycon, Craters & Freighters, Tramo, Cube, and others.
