- Lot Description
Elegant rectangular serving tray handcrafted by the renowned Mexican silversmith workshop Los Castillo, Taxco. This substantial piece is executed in silver plate with gently rounded corners and inset handles featuring inlays of deep blue lapis lazuli and rich azurite, a hallmark of the studio’s signature aesthetic.
The tray is fully stamped on the reverse:
"Los Castillo / Taxco / Hecho a Mano / 103 / TA-01 / Plateado"
Los Castillo was established in the mid-20th century and is celebrated for blending modernist design with Mexican craftsmanship. The natural stone inlays reflect their deep connection to native materials and innovative decorative techniques.
Measurements (approx.):
10.50 inches wide x 6 5/8 inches deep x 0.75 inches high
Condition:
Good vintage condition with light surface scratches and signs of use appropriate for age. No major dents or structural damage. Minor wear to silver plating.

Local pickup is welcomed, please call in advance to setup an appointment and ensure the items are paid for before picking up. For out of state buyers we can provide shipping quotes or provide a list of shippers, we do not pack anything ourselves but we can drop off the pieces to a shipping store such as UPS or FedEx and arrange shipping with freight companies such as Plycon, Craters & Freighters, Tramo, Cube, and others.
