- Lot Description
Bold and evocative, this large oil on masonite painting titled “Maternidad” was created by renowned Mexican artist Jesús Mariano Leuus in 1965. Rendered in luminous green and golden hues with striking minimalist forms, the composition explores themes of motherhood and tenderness through a modernist lens. The maternal figure cradling an infant evokes both intimacy and abstraction — hallmarks of Leuus' mid-century visual language.
Signed “Jesus Leuus, México 65” in the lower right corner, this painting is an excellent example of Mexican post-revolutionary expression, where figuration meets symbolic abstraction.

Local pickup is welcomed, please call in advance to setup an appointment and ensure the items are paid for before picking up. For out of state buyers we can provide shipping quotes or provide a list of shippers, we do not pack anything ourselves but we can drop off the pieces to a shipping store such as UPS or FedEx and arrange shipping with freight companies such as Plycon, Craters & Freighters, Tramo, Cube, and others.
