Offered here is a rare and monumental parrot-handled pitcher by the iconic Los Castillo of Taxco, Mexico. This sculptural vessel is masterfully handcrafted in silver plate with mother-of-pearl inlay and brass accents, exemplifying the innovative and bold artistry of mid-century Mexican design.
The standout feature is the large parrot perched at the handle, meticulously inlaid with iridescent mother-of-pearl tiles and finished with brass detailing to the beak and crest. The body of the pitcher has a rounded lobed form with a hand-hammered surface that reflects light beautifully.
This unique piece is not only functional but a striking decorative object ideal for collectors, interior designers, and lovers of rare Mexican silver. It is stamped on the underside with the Los Castillo hallmark, “TA-01” and “Taxco Mexico.”

Local pickup is welcomed, please call in advance to setup an appointment and ensure the items are paid for before picking up. For out of state buyers we can provide shipping quotes or provide a list of shippers, we do not pack anything ourselves but we can drop off the pieces to a shipping store such as UPS or FedEx and arrange shipping with freight companies such as Plycon, Craters & Freighters, Tramo, Cube, and others.
