- Lot Description
A finely executed bronze sculpture of a male torso by celebrated Mexican modernist sculptor Victor Salmones (1937–1989). This signed Artist Proof showcases Salmones’ mastery of the human form, emphasizing anatomical strength, elegance, and movement. The muscular male figure is rendered with a rich, dark patina, highlighting the expressive texture and sensuality typical of Salmones' figurative work.
The sculpture is mounted on a travertine stone base, complementing the warmth and timelessness of the bronze. Salmones, internationally known for his public monuments and private commissions, was deeply influenced by classical traditions and modern abstraction, blending both in his signature style.
Signed on the base and marked as Artist Proof (A/P), this piece is a rare and valuable example of 20th-century Mexican bronze sculpture.

Local pickup is welcomed, please call in advance to setup an appointment and ensure the items are paid for before picking up. For out of state buyers we can provide shipping quotes or provide a list of shippers, we do not pack anything ourselves but we can drop off the pieces to a shipping store such as UPS or FedEx and arrange shipping with freight companies such as Plycon, Craters & Freighters, Tramo, Cube, and others.
