1st item: Regency sarcophagus-form rosewood tea caddy with domed lid, boxwood string inlay accented with inlaid diamonds to lid, inlaid escutcheon with key, and two wooden ring handles, all on four bun feet. Partitioned interior with two compartments. 8 in. H x 10 in. W x 5 in. D. Circa 1820. 2nd item: Mahogany tea caddy with inlaid shell and floral reserves to front and lid, the edges with chevron inlaid banding, inlaid escutcheon (lacking key). Partitioned interior with two compartments having string inlay and floral carved mother-of-pearl finials. Marbled paper lining to interior of lid. 4 1/2 in. H x 8 in. W x 4 5/8 in. D. Mid to late 19th century.
1st item: Interior wells lack lining, feet reglued, some scratching, handles possibly added or replaced; otherwise excellent condition. Lock not tested or guaranteed. 2nd item: 3-inch-long section of replaced veneer to the back of the lid; a few tiny chips/repairs to edge banding; overall very good condition.

Payment must be received no later than five (5) days after the sale.
Unless you are a known customer of Case Auctions, payment for all gold, precious metal, and gem lots must be made by bank wire transfer, ACH, certified bank check, or money order. No exceptions.
If you pick up your lots from any of our galleries, Tennessee state sales tax will apply. Sales tax will only be waived if you provide a valid resale certificate from your state of residence.
If paying with a credit card, a 3.5% credit card processing fee will be applied to the final sales price (i.e. hammer price + buyer's premium + applicable taxes). If you have a credit card on file with Case, any winning bids will be automatically charged (up to $3000) along with applicable fees 72 hours after you receive your invoice unless other arrangements have been made.
