- Lot Description
Two (2) carved and painted duck decoys, canvasback hen and goldeneye drake, likely by Mason Decoy Factory (1896-1924) Detroit, MI. Premier grade with hollow bodies, glass eyes, swirled feathers, and relief bill carving. Initials AT painted to underside of drake. Both approximately 6 1/2" H x 14" W x 6" D. Likely first quarter 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Knoxville, Tennessee collection.
Condition
Both in good condition with use and age wear including scattered paint loss, wood shrinkage, and general wear. Drake with wood loss to tip of bill and replaced eye.
