- Lot Description
1st Item: Thomas Austin Hardy (American/Oregon, 1921-2016) watercolor in paper painting with a herd of brown cattle who stand and graze in a grassy field. Signed and dated 1962, lower right. Housed under glass in a simple wood frame with light green mat and dark green reveal. Sight: 10 1/2 in. H x 29 3/4 in. W. Frame: 17 1/2 in. H x 35 1/2 in. W. 2nd Item: Michele Russo (American/Oregon, 1909-2004 ) figural nude ink drawing with brown wash on thin laid paper that depicts a woman shown frontally, from behind, and as a portrait head. Signed in pen, lower right. With Fountain Gallery of Art, Portland, OR label affixed to backing. Floated under glass in an ebonized wood frame with brown mat. Sheet: 12 in. H x 9 1/2 in. W. Frame: 18 1/2 in H x 16 in W.
Condition
1st item in overall very good condition, with slightly attenuated colors and even toning to sheet. 2nd item: Overall very good condition, with faint adhesive or tape staining to upper edge and corners and specks of foxing to upper right, primarily outside of image. Not examined outside of frames.
