- Lot Description
Two antique Yomud or Yomut Asmalyk Turkestan pendant-shaped weavings, wool on wool. Main fields with stylized floral and lattice work designs. The tops with elongated diamond designs. 3 ft 8 in x 2 ft 5 in and 4 ft 2 in x 2 ft 6 in. Both weavings last quarter of the 19th century,
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
Condition
Smaller weaving with slightly uneven wear with heavier wear noted to the lower section. Larger weaving in very good condition with light even wear.
