- Lot Description
Set of three (3) framed Chinese scrolls or triptych paintings, ink and color on silk, depicting Mongolian nobles in various landscape settings engaging in various activities, including hunting. Not signed. Housed in matching wood bamboo style frames. Painting: 54 1/2 in. H x 14 1/2 in. W. Framed: 61 in. H x 19 3/4 in. W. 19th century or earlier.
Condition
Overall good condition with some darkening to scrolls and some rippling to the silk where it has been laid down. Paintings have not been examined outside of the frames.
- Provenance
Purchased at the liquidation auction of the contents of the Krystal Corporate Headquarters in Chattanooga, TN, in 2013.
