- Lot Description
Three Walt Disney original animation cels, originally sold through Disneyland's Art Corner Store. 1st Item: Cel from 101 Dalmatians (Walt Disney, 1961), featuring characters Sergeant Tibbs and Lucy set against a plain cream-colored background. Art Corner gold foil sticker on reverse. Image 6 1/4" H x 9" W; Overall 9" H x 12" W.
2nd Item: Cel from Mary Poppins (Walt Disney, 1964) featuring characters "The Captain" and "Duchess". Hand-painted animation production cel on printed barnyard background, as seen in the song "It's a Jolly Holiday for Mary". Art Corner gold foil sticker on reverse. Image 8" H x 10" W; Overall 12" H x 14" W.
3rd Item: Humphrey the Bear in pink baby bonnet, as worn in the 1955 Donald Duck short "Bearly Asleep." against a printed wooded background,. Art Corner gold foil sticker on reverse. Image 8" H x 9 3/4" W; Overall 12" x 14".
Disneyland's Art Corner operated at the Anaheim, California park 1955 -1966.
Condition
Each with toning to mat and slight warping to transparent "film"; pinhole (to mat only) top center; handwritten quotes on mat added at a later date, not affecting images. 2nd Item (Poppins): adhesive paper to rear beginning to separate, not affecting image.
