- Lot Description
Five (5) framed Currier & Ives hand-colored lithographs depicting scenes with white cats including one (1) titled "My Three White Kitties," one (1) titled "Three Little White Kitties / Their First Mouse," one (1) titled "My Little White Kitties / Playing Dominoes," one (1) titled "Mischievous Little Kitties," one (1) titled "My Kitty and Canary." All housed under glass, some matted, in carved wood frames. Ranging in size from sight: 8 1/2" H x 11 1/2" W, framed: 11 1/2" H x 14 1/2" W, to sight: 8 3/4" H x 12 3/4" W, framed: 15 1/4" H x 18 1/2" W. Late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: By direct descent through the Rogers and Walker families. See other related lots from this historic family, also in this auction.
Condition
Overall good condition. Most with even toning. Scattered foxing and areas of soiling to lower margins. Not examined outside of frames.
