- Lot Description
Five (5) Italian decorative carved giltwood wall brackets or shelves with scrolling acanthus leaf bases. Two stamped "MADE IN ITALY." All with hanging hardware. One with decorative sphere affixed to upper surface with glue. Ranging in size from 3 5/8 in H x 3 3/4 in W x 2 1/4 in D to 6 1/4 in H x 6 1/4 in W x 3 5/8 in D. Early or mid-20th century.
Condition
Overall good condition, with age cracks to wood and minor, scattered gilt losses. With areas of repair to one of the two larger brackets, largest to 1 1/2 in L crack to front acanthus leaf. Smaller brackets with loss to bottom tip of one and pinhole puncture to bottom tip of other. Each with glue to upper surfaces.
