- Lot Description
Antique Baluch Afghan tribal prayer rug, wool on wool construction, with archaic eagle border. Woven in brick red or rust, blue, black, and cream colors. 4 ft 8 in x 2 ft 10 in. Fourth quarter of the 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
Condition
A couple of horizontal repairs to center field, minor losses to fringe to each end, fitted with wood hanger top verso.
