- Lot Description
Antique Central Persian tribal rug, wool on wool, central blue field with repeating floral medallion and horse pattern within three primary borders having geometric and floral designs. Woven in blue, red, cream, salmon, and brown colors. 5 ft 10 in x 3 ft 11 in. Last quarter 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
Condition
Scattered wear and minor losses to left and right margins. Possible old small repair one lower border. Overall even wear with losses to the fringe at each end.
