Framed grouping of ephemera from the 1913 International Exhibition of Modern Art, also known as The Armory Show, the groundbreaking exhibit credited with ushering in a new era in art history. Includes 1 invitation to the formal opening of the show on Feb. 17, 1913; 1 invitation to the press preview on Feb. 16, 1913; 1 unused postcard and 2 lapel buttons featuring the Pine Tree insignia; 1 unused postcard depicting the exhibited painting "Battleships" by Elmer MacRae; and 1 unused sheet of stationery with The American Painters and Sculptors Association letterhead. All matted under glass in a narrow gilt frame. Old A.P.F. New York framing label en verso. Overall dimensions: 21"H x 21 5/8"W.
Overall very good condition. Opening invitation has 1 spot of foxing. Other items with light toning; "Battleships" postcard has some use wear at corners. Wear to frame.
