Autograph: King Edward VIII (1894-1972, crowned and abdicated 1936) TLS dated Dec. 16, 1937 from the Hotel Meurice, Paris, to Newbold Noyes, Associate Editor of the Washington Star, regarding the publicity around his decision to abandon the throne to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson. Single page, on blue letterhead. 7 1/2" x 8 1/2".
