- Lot Description
Georges Clemenceau (1841-1929), scarce historical satirical figurine depicting the French Prime Minister's head, in papier mache, joined to the velvet body of a tiger. 10 in L. Circa 1910. Note: Clemenceau's political actions, including his push for strict treatment of Germany at the Treaty of Versailles, earned him the nickname of "The Tiger". A similar example is in the collection of the Museum of Historical Figurines in Compiegne.
Condition
Overall good condition with some spots of wear with paint loss to head, wear and light grime to body.
