Seventeen (17) pieces sterling silver flatware in the King George pattern by Gorham, introduced 1894. Includes large parcel gilt Salad Serving Fork and Spoon plus 15 teaspoons, all marked sterling with lion-anchor-G mark for Gorham. Ten (10) of the teapoons are additionally marked for Charleston, SC retailer Carrington, Thomas & Co. (in business circa 1872-1920s). Teaspoons are monogrammed EWC (6) and JPB (9). Large pieces not monogrammed. 23.34 troy ounces.
PROVENANCE: By descent in the historic Pinckney family of Runnymede Plantation, South Carolina.
Some light wear to gilding on the salad fork and spoon.
