- Lot Description
Jorge Santos (Portugal/American, b. 1959) acrylic and pencil on paper painting, "Miracle Hunter #168." Gallery label from Louis Newman Galleries (Beverly Hills, California) en verso, numbered #168. Housed in a painted wood float frame behind glass and a white mat. Sight: 20 1/2 in. W x 24 in. H. Framed: 28 in. W x 31 1/2 in H. 1992. Notes: "In 1990, the self-taught Santos began adding color to his images, and in this second period, black and white figures stand out in stark contrast to their colored environments. Though the techniques combine acrylic and pencil on board, or oil and acrylic on canvas, a balance of opposites continued to be the focus of his work. With every painting, a stage of ambiguous illusion is created." Source: Artist bio from online archive at 101 Exhibit (Miami, FL).

Payment must be received no later than five (5) days after the sale.
Unless you are a known customer of Case Auctions, payment for all gold, precious metal, and gem lots must be made by bank wire transfer, ACH, certified bank check, or money order. No exceptions.
If you pick up your lots from any of our galleries, Tennessee state sales tax will apply. Sales tax will only be waived if you provide a valid resale certificate from your state of residence.
If paying with a credit card, a 3.5% credit card processing fee will be applied to the final sales price (i.e. hammer price + buyer's premium + applicable taxes). If you have a credit card on file with Case, any winning bids will be automatically charged (up to $3000) along with applicable fees 72 hours after you receive your invoice unless other arrangements have been made.
