- Lot Description
Sandy Winters (American, b. 1949) oil on paper composition with biomorphic botanical and fungus-like forms, "War of the Worlds," 1990. With passages of heavy impasto and scraffito throughout. Signed and dated, lower right. Floated under plexiglass in a modern wooden frame with white mat. Sheet: 68 in H x 52 1/4 in W. Frame: 72 3/4 in H x 57 in W.
Condition
Overall very good condition. Sheet with 1/2 in L tear to upper-left edge; creasing primarily outside of image, longest 20 in L to lower left; and likely inherent staple punctures along edges. Not examined outside of frame. Affixed to mount with archival paper strips, some slightly loose.
