- Lot Description
Continental Trumeau Painted Mirror featuring an oil on canvas landscape painting depicting figures working at a mill, over a glass plate with urn and floral carved crest, all flanked by two side panels with urn and floral swag relief carvings. Overall: 69"H x 47 3/8"W. Painting: 23" x 22". Mirror Plate: 30 1/2" x 21 1/2". 19th century.
Condition
Painting is original and has craquelure, light buckling and grime throughout. Frame/Mirror with wear and shrinkage throughout; repaired lower left corner; 2" loss to lower left urn carving, other scattered minor losses to moldings and paint, mirror plate is in excellent condition, likely replaced. Paint has craquelure throughout and appears original.
